About Our Chapter

ΡΓ - Rho Gamma

The beginning of Rho Gamma dates back to 1965 at California State College at Long Beach with Jim Edwards as the first president of the Chapter. The chapter saw a promising start as it received its charter on June 15, 1966.

The chapter apparently had some strong years through 1971 when the chapter became inactive. Rho Gamma was re-chartered in the spring of 1982 with Fred Pollack presiding at the ceremony. Bob Salomon became the president of the “new” Rho Gamma.

Rho Gamma experienced a revival in 2002 when the chapter was reactivated through the help from Anh Duong from Alpha Delta Theta chapter. As Alpha Class, Kevin Bebe, Ronny Cunningham, Anh Duong Christiane Irwin, Fleur Orjalo, Remi Sekine, and Maralee Williams built Rho Gamma as we know it. The chapter started growing as members from various organizations, specifically members from PAC Modern Dance Troupe, started pledging for Rho Gamma. Presently, Rho Gamma continues to grow with a diverse group of students continuing to develop Leadership, promote Friendship, and provide Service.

Leadership. Friendship. Service.
